Capital Bauer has been supplying personal, commercial, and employee benefits insurance and other financial services since 1957.
The company was founded by Robert F. Bauer, and his son David Bauer kept it a family-owned-and-run firm to present day.
The company's reputation in Albany was so impressive that the world's fourth largest insurance firm - Gallagher & Co. - agreed to a merger between the two companies.
Though they've joined with the big boys, Capital Bauer will continue its service to local accounts and its support of capital region organizations like St. Peter's Hospital and the Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York.
