Indoor Butterfly House Now Open At miSci

user-pic
Picture hundreds of butterflies fluttering about and possibly landing on you. It may sound like a fairy-tale, but Butterflies, the Indoor Butterfly House exhibit, is now open at miSci in Schenectady.

See Monarchs, Black Swallowtails, Painted Ladies, and Red Admirals flying around in a re-created natural habitat, the edge of an open field filled with flowers and trees.

Be sure to stop at the chrysalis chamber to see the butterflies as they emerge. Learn about the exciting life cycles of the butterflies, and how to create butterfly-friendly environments outside your own home.

This exhibit is great for both children and adults alike. Admission the museum is $6.50 for kids ages 3- 12 and $9.50 for adults, and includes admission to all exhibits including, demos and Science Zone activities.

We just went yesterday, and my daughter loved seeing the butterflies! They have fruit set out for them to feed on, so you really get to see them up close without them fluttering away.
