Try Something New

Learn to Skate Clinic at Empire Skate Plaza

Saturday, January 7

If you've always wanted to learn to stake, now is your chance! This Saturday there is a Learn to Skate Clinic at 9am and 10am at the Empire Skate Plaza - with free skate rentals offered to participants! You do need to register ahead of time. Whether or not you'll be participating in the clinic, you can still skate for free at the Empire Skate Plaza through March 13th.


Saturday, January 7 and Sunday, January 8

The Albany Curling Club is hosting an open house from 10am to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday for those who would like to give this sport a try! Trainers will teach you how to throw the curling stone and sweep it in. Kids six and up are welcome, but need to be with a parent or guardian, and the event is free. The Albany Curling Club is located on West McKown Road in Albany.
