Hudson Valley Region Ski Centers
Mount Peter Ski Area
Dive 2 hours southwest of Albany NY to Orange County this winter for skiing in the heart of the Hudson Valley. Family operated Mount Peter, the oldest operating ski area in the state, is known for its free beginner ski and snowboard school as well as great snowmaking and grooming. People come to this ski area for its strong family-friendly atmosphere. Equipment rentals, ski shop, lessons and tavern are all available at Mt. Peter.
Sawkill Family Ski Center
Located in Kingston, NY, Sawkill Ski Center is just a quick drive from Albany! Sawkill was designed specifically for snowboarders, beginner skiers and snow tubers. Ski and snowboard instructions, rentals and a ski shop are also on the premesis.
Catamount Ski Area
Travel an hour southeast of Albany for inexpensive New England skiing for the whole family. Catamount Ski Area was designed for all levels of snowboarders and skiers.
