SCULPTURE IN THE STREETS BRINGS DUTCH CLOG ARTWORK DOWNTOWN
Since 2006, Downtown Albany Sculpture in the Streets has been bringing beautiful, local art to Downtown Albany. This year the program will bring 6 large-scale clogs at seven feet long and 4 smaller pairs of Dutch clogs at three feet long tooutdoor, public locations throughout downtown Albany’s business and entertainment corridors.
The Downtown Albany BID invites upstate New York artists to apply for the 2012 Sculpture in the Streets program. Now through May 1, 2012, the BID is accepting submissions from artists interested in teaming up with local sponsors to design and paint Dutch clogs.
The sculptures will be on display from mid-June 2012 through May 2013 with an estimated 30,000 downtown workers and visitors will view the exhibit.
Inquiries to sponsor Dutch clogs are also being accepted. Please or call (518) 465-2143 x13 for more information.
