If you know the popular holiday song “Jingle Bells,” you can help set a world record next week in Albany! (If you don’t know it, you still have time to learn it!)
Next Wednesday, a crowd will gather in front of the Times Union Center to set the world record of the most people singing “Jingle Bells” while ringing jingle bells. What a fun way to ring in the holiday season — literally!
It should be lots of fun. It’s free and open to the public, so tell your friends; invite your coworkers. And don’t forget to bring the little ones who can help set the record (as long as they know the song and can ring a jingle bell). Plus, we heard a rumor that Santa will be there!
Jingle bells will be provided to the public courtesy of B. Lodge and Co., who is celebrating 145 years in business at their Downtown location. The world record will be registered with recordsetter.com.
The “Jingle Bells” singing-and-ringing record setting will take place at noon on Tuesday, December 12, which marks the last day of Downtown Albany’s Jingle Elf Quest. Will you be joining in?
