What better way to soak in the beginning of summer than by picking your own strawberries in a sunny field? Sounds pretty enticing to us! Check out where you can pick your own strawberries:
Altamont Orchards, Altamont
From 8:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. daily, you can pick your own strawberries for $2.35 per pound. Remember to bring your own container!
The Berry Patch, Stephentown
Hours are Thursday through Monday from 10:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Call ahead to check on the status of how many strawberries are available!
Best Berry Farms, East Greenbush
Bring your own container to pick strawberries from 8:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Monday through Sunday.
Buhrmaster Family Farms, Scotia
Hours are 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily. You can fill up a quart of strawberries for just $4.
Bowman Farms, Rexford
Monday through Saturday hours are 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. On Sunday, hours are noon to 5:00 P.M. It costs $2 per person and $2.99 per pound of strawberries.
Engelke Farm, Troy
Pick your own strawberry hours are from 11:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. daily.
Indian Ladder Farms
In addition to their famous apple cider donuts, they are also known for their delicious, fresh strawberries! You can pick your own Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. On Saturday and Sunday their hours extend from 9:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. You can bring your own container or purchase one for a quarter and strawberries are $2.25 per pound.
Swartz Farm, Castleton
Pick your own or grab a quart of freshly picked strawberries read to go! Hours are 8:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M. Monday through Sunday.
Keep in mind, that the prime time to pick strawberries is short! From mid-June to the end of the month is the peak season for strawberries, with the season ending shortly after the Fourth of July.
