Visiting The Joseph L. Bruno Stadium this Wednesday, July 31 for the Tri-City ValleyCats’ Christmas in July night? Get in the spirit of gift-giving by bringing your extra school supplies to donate. The ValleyCats and United Way of the Greater Capital Region have partnered to hold a school supply drive at the stadium during the event.

In addition to the watching the Tri-City ValleyCats vs. Batavia Muckdogs game, decorating cookies, meeting Santa, and watching fireworks, guests can stop by United Way’s table near the main entrance to donate supplies, and visit their informational booth behind home plate. Supplies will be accepted from 5:30 pm to 7:30, and the first 100 donations will be rewarded with a $5 ValleyCats gift card.
Supplies you can donate:
- new backpacks
- pencil cases
- solid, primary-colored two-pocket folders
- three-subject notebooks
- index cards
- erasers
- highlighters, colored pencils, and dry-erase markers
- wipes and tissues
Can’t make it to game night but still want to give back to the community? You can text UWSCHOOL to 41444 to make your donation or drop off supplies at the ValleyCats box office.
