Annual Albany Chefs' Food & Wine Festival
The Albany Chefs’ Food and Wine Festival will take place Thursday, January 12th through Saturday, January 14th, 2017 to benefit the arts community of Albany, NY.
The 2017 Festival is inspired by one of the most famous sculptures of the Antiquities. “The Three Graces” is a late Hellenistic Period, approximately 2nd Century BC, sculpture in marble of the mythological three charities, daughters of Zeus –Euphrosyne, Aglaea and Thalia, who were said to represent beauty, charm and joy. The Charities presided over banquets and gatherings primarily to entertain and delight the guests of the gods.
Therefore, this year’s Grand Gala Reception & Dinner will feature the food, wine, arts & culture of the ancient Greeks!
This year's festival will include:
- The Mayor's Opening Celebration at City Hall
- Grand Tasting & Seminars
- Battle of the Bartenders
- Rising Star Chef Pavilion & Craft Beer Pavilion
- "Slider Slam" Competition
