Capital Holiday Lights In Washington Park See animated lights displays in Washington Park during the Capital Holiday Lights display in Albany NY.

ALBANY NY -- Visit the unique Capital Holiday Lights in The Park this season, from November 28, 2008 through January 3, 2009. This 13th annual lights spectacular is an awe-inspiring display with thousands and thousands of lights in Albany NY.

Drive through the park to marvel at never-before-seen displays along with some old time favorites. You may spot snowflakes, Santa on a surfboard, Gingerbread men juggling and many more intriguing displays. After you drive through this amazing display, enjoy all sorts of crafts, costumed characters, refreshments and even Santa (before Christmas) at the Lakehouse!

To drive through the display, it costs $15 per car, $25 for a limo or 15-passenger van and $75 for a bus. Enter the display at the Madison and New Scotland Ave entrance to Washington Park. Visitors can also take carriage rides through the lights display on Thursday through Sunday evenings. Reserve a carriage ride by calling Albany PAL at 518-435-0392.

All proceeds from Capital Holiday Lights will benefit the Albany Police Athletic League, PAL, celebrating its 16th year as a juvenile crime- prevention program in the City of Albany.
 
Capital Holiday Lights display runs every day from 6 pm to 9 pm, and until 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays through January 3, 2009. The event is brought to the Capital Region by The City of Albany, Mayor Gerald D. Jennings and the Albany Police Athletic League, PAL.
