About this event
Albany County and Crossgates Mall care about our children and their future, so protecting our most precious assets is critical, especially in the car and their child safety seats. At the June 2022 Traffic Safety Event hosted at Crossgates, 48 child safety seats were inspected and only three were installed correctly.
Make sure yours is properly installed simply by driving up to the free Car Seat Check on Saturday, September 24th from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in the overflow parking lot adjacent to the Homewood Suites and Tru by Hilton hotel.
Stop into the mall throughout the entire weekend during mall hours to check out the Traffic Safety Awareness Show, which will focus on teaching the dangers and importance of traffic and child passenger safety.
Members of Albany County law enforcement and safety related organizations will be on-hand all weekend to answer any questions you have regarding traffic safety.
There will be a variety of safety exhibits, interactive displays, and traffic safety related give-a-ways for you to take home.
This weekend is sponsored by the Albany County Department of Public Works – Traffic Safety Education Program.
