The 16th annual University at Albany Out of the Darkness Walk brings together the Albany community in support of those impacted by suicide. The event begins with activities, resource tabling and an opening ceremony to honor those impacted by suicide. Shortly thereafter, the official kick-off to the 1.5-mile walk around campus will begin to show support and spread HOPE. All are invited to join in to raise awareness about mental health and to show support to those impacted by suicide through family, friends or personal struggles. The event is free, but we ask that you register at afsp.org/ualbany. Leading up to and at the walk we will be fundriasing for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Donations can be made at afsp.org/ualbany.
