I had a meeting a few weeks ago with a sweetheart of a couple.( okay all of my couples are sweethearts ) As we were sitting in the Gathering Space and looking at photos go by on my digital frame and chatting, all of a sudden the groom said – that is one of my 3, he had just seen a bride in a horse & carriage. In almost 30 years of planning that comment was a first -as I asked him to explain – I was thrilled. He told me that the one advice he received from good friends recently married was that each of them should choose their top 3 priorities on their wish list and the other could not veto. What a fabulous idea. Not only does this make you think long and hard on what is really important to you, but it also gets you talking to your significant other on what is important to them. I think it is so easy for all of us to forget that the grooms may have some dreams too about their wedding day. I know that the media, the magazines and almost all the articles focus on the bride – It was wonderful to hear about the grooms wishes
Choosing your 3 & fabulous way to remember its both of your weddings
( this particular groom had horse and carriage at the top ) that was easy – What a great way not only to help plan this big event – but also a wonderful beginning to learning to compromise as a couple for the rest of your marriage. So as the dream book is created – do not forget to find out what the Grooms dream book is as well –
Happy planning
