Well I have just returned from a piece of heaven – Sandals Royal Bahamian was a fabulous treat out of the snow. I arrived earlier than the other ABC consultants so I treated myself to the Spa
Now as an avid caffeine addict – getting wrapped in coffee cream was pure heaven – my only complaint was that it was not long enough. That was only because I moved on to a wonderful massage. Having arrived with laryngitis and a cold – what a wonderful way to start.
While there – met up with a bride and groom who’s wedding we did 4 years ago ( Almost happy anniversary Noreen and Erick) . They had the job of witnessing their friends wedding who had dashed down for a long weekend and ceremony in the sand. No juggling 150 family members – seating assignments and politics instead packing their bikinis and just showing up with 2 close friends and some sun block. Now that is worth considering. this happened to be the couples second wedding so perfect for them. I also spoke with a couple who did the destination the year before – it happened to be at
so that they had their children with them. Beaches is set up for the children and the adults – Restaurants for adults – Nannies for the babies – best of both worlds. They decided that investing in an amazing family vacation was a better choice for them then the 6 hour reception. Parents and grandparents joined – friends were sent announcements and pictures when they got home. Stress free and wonderful family memories for all. Certainly something to think about –
I would love to hear from those that have done it and how they feel about it now looking back.
Although I have a venue for 150 – I would love to have my boys consider a destination escape.
