The annual Gazette Holiday Parade in Schenectady is a cause for celebration among all ages. |
SCHENECTADY NY — Giant floats will light the streets of Schenectady at the 2009 Gazette Holiday Parade! This year's theme celebrates Schenectady County's Bicentennial.
The Gazette Holiday Parade will step off at 5 pm on November 21 at Schenectady County Community College. The route will continue along State Street and end at the corner of Lafayette and State Street. The reviewing stand will be located on the corner of Erie Blvd. and State Street.
Live music from local bands will provide entertainment before the parade steps off for an estimated 40,000 parade attendees. Be a part of the holiday fun in Schenectady!
The City of Schenectady will close State Street to traffic at 4:00 pm from the Western Gateway Bridge to Nott Terrace for the parade, expected to run until about 7:00 pm.
