Tri-City ValleyCats Baseball Games

Tri-City ValleyCatsAlbany NY - What's not to love about a good ol' fashioned baseball game? At the Tri-City ValleyCats games in Troy, NY you experience a whole lot more than just quality baseball. The ValleyCats games are a place where everyone can enjoy the game, not just the die-hard baseball fans!

The Team

The ValleyCats are a Minor League Baseball team, an affiliate team of the Houston Astros. They are in their 11th season playing home games out of Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, or "The Joe" as some fans may call it. The stadium is located on the Hudson Valley Community College campus in Troy, NY. During the 2011 season, over 156,000 fans visited the stadium, which is the ValleyCats record for a single-season attendance. The ValleyCats have increased their attendance every year for the past 8 years! Last season there were 13 sellout crowds.

The Stadium

There isn't a bad seat in the house at The Joe! The stadium holds 4,500 people and includes 10 high-end luxury suites, 4 picnic areas for company or group outings, the Top of the Hill Bar & Grill with a private party area called "the Porch," and the all-new Field of Dreams area!

The Games

At each ValleyCats game, everyone young and old can enjoy a variety of attractions, entertainment, and promotions that happen each season. Kids will be entertained by the baseball game, as well as the "Kids Zone" where kids can find the Speed Pitch and Bouncy Bounce inflatables among other games. Kids can also look forward to Sunday Funday; a pregame catch and stretch, and a post-game running of the bases plus an autograph session with the ValleyCats!

Planning a party? The stadium also hosts 'Birthday Parties at the Joe' with a choice of three different packages, each including fun, food and souvenirs!

The Fun

At every ValleyCats home game, there is at least one promotion or special event. Some of the favorite promotions include 50 cent hot dogs, team poster giveaway, or the bobblehead giveaway. Other nightly celebrations include over 14 fireworks shows throughout the season, an annual "going green" night or animal appreciation night. The stadium is full of entertainment and fun on Tuesday nights for the ValleyCats' Tunes for Tuesday Series which includes a pre-game concert and 2 for 1 beer specials before each Tuesday game from about 5pm to 6:40pm (games start at 7pm).

The Tickets

Tickets are affordable, so it makes a trip to the ballpark possible for a whole family! Tickets may be purchased in advance or in person and range from $5.50 for advanced grandstand to $11.50 for gameday Premium Box.
