Are you bouncing around, full of energy or dragging through the day?
What zaps your energy? This is the time of year, at least in the northeast, that we have warm (or hot) weather, lots of daylight hours and many outdoor activities. Are you too tired to exercise or even cook?
Sometimes it’s as simple as not getting enough sleep, but often, it’s a more complex combination of issues that people are not even aware of, including emotions. Possibly it’s your body’s response to a particular food or lack of good nourishment.
Try this simple writing exercise when you are feeling drained. Make it simple… a quick phrase, including any insight you have observed about yourself or the situation. Are you hungry? What did you eat prior? How much sleep did you have? What are you emotionally feeling?
Once you get the basic questions down, you can flip through them quickly. You may start to see a pattern. Remember that it only needs to be a phrase or a couple of words… you’re already exhausted. The photo is my journal, frequently used to keep track of many thoughts. Take the first step to feeling better and more energized.
