Albany Lantern Parade

When: Sunday, Nov 5, 2017 - 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM

About the Event

On November 5, join neighbors for a sunset parade of home-made lanterns around Washington Park Lake to bring warmth and light as we welcome Eastern Standard Time.

The Washington Park Conservancy & the City of Albany will be hosting the second annual Albany Lantern Parade in Washington Park. This family-friendly event is free and all are welcome to join!

Free lantern-making workshops will be held at libraries and other venues around the city- we hope you can join one. Stay tuned for a schedule of workshops, or make some lanterns at home and meet us at the Lake House on Nov. 5 to bring arts, community, and warmth to the autumn evening.

Many thanks to the City of Albany & the Albany Public Libraries for their partnership. Check this page often to find workshops (and reserve free tickets) and see the growing list of wonderful businesses supporting the event!
