A New Gluten-Free Bakery Has Opened in Troy
After being a regular presence at local farmers markets over the years, baker and pastry chef Melanie O’Malley has opened a new storefront called O’Malley’s Oven. Located at 455 Fulton Street in Troy, this gluten-free bakery specializes in a wide variety of tasty treats, including muffins, cupcakes, pastries, custom order cakes, and more. O’Malley’s Oven hosted a soft opening in early March, and most recently, celebrated its grand opening on April 9.
Hit the Green at Schenectady Municipal Golf Course
Are you ready to make the most of the spring weather? Head outdoors for a trip to a nearby golf course! Schenectady Municipal Golf Course recently opened for the season, and as of today, April 15, riding carts are now available for golfers. Volunteers Needed for Albany’s Earth Day Neighborhood Clean-Up
Earth Day is coming up soon on Friday, April 22, and to celebrate, the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District will host its annual Earth Day Neighborhood Clean-Up on Saturday, April 23. During the event, volunteers will help clean up downtown Albany from the Olde English Dog Park (119 N. Pearl Street) to the African American Cultural Center (135 S. Pearl Street).
This is a great way to clean up the community and get to know your neighbors in the process, and volunteers are encouraged to sign up in advance via Eventbrite.
