After falling short during the week against big conference competition (Siena vs. Minnesota and Albany vs. Georgia Tech) both teams are on the road Saturday and both grabbing their first wins of the year.
Albany, still without starting guard Mike Black, found their offense in a big way, routing Fairleigh Dickinson 72 to 46. Will Brown’s team receiving a big game from sophomore Logan Aronhalt, who tallied 27 points and 10 rebounds. Tim Ambrose added 13 points for the Danes, who improve to one and three on the season. They return home to play Iona Tuesday night.
Siena also jumping into the win column defeating Northeastern 84 to 68. The Saints top players stepping up to drop the Huskies. Ryan Rossiter leading the charge with another double-double, 28 points and 15 rebounds, while Clarence Jackson chipped in 24 points. Mitch Buonaguro’s squad will look to even their record at two wins and two losses Tuesday night, but they will have their hands full hosting 18th ranked Butler at the Times Union Center.
