The Troy Pig Out is back this summer for it's 6th year, bring the best BBQ around to downtown Troy Ny on July 13 & 14. Come party in the Riverfront Park for two jammed packed days full of music, chef demonstrations, children's activities, and what else? Great BBQ!
New for 2013: the Pig Out joins fources with BaconFest NY with a People's Choice St. Louis Rib competition on Saturday, and the "main event" on Sunday.
Over 30 teams, all sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Society will compete for 'Victor', life size golden pig that goes to the winners, and over $5,000 in prizes. Come out and see how the pros do it, ask them questions, and watch as they prepare their entries.
Hungry? Good. The Pig Out features BBQ vendors from across the country, smoking and grilling ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken, you name it (and we hear Dinosaur Barbeque will be there!).
Saturday kicks off at 11:00am with live blue grass, Irish and blues all day long, followed by a fireworks display over the river. Don't miss the top chefs giving demonstrations throughout the day in our cook's tent.
On Sunday, the focus turns to the New York State Championship. Watch as the pros compete for the Grand Championship, enjoy more great food, and live music again throughout the day.
