The Perfect Spot for Anglers and Equestrians

Located in Grafton, NY, the park has six ponds, all of which can be accessed with canoes, sailboats, rowboats, and electric boats. In each pond, anglers will find pickerel, perch, and bass, and in Long, Second, and Shaver Ponds, rainbow and brown trout are also present.

Equestrians are in for a treat, as well: riders can enjoy the park's 25 miles of trails during the summer months. The park's dense forests and pond views make for a dreamy and relaxing time in the saddle.

Families More Than Welcome

Grafton Lakes State Park is a great spot for a little family getaway, no matter what time of year. Long Pond has a beautiful sandy beach, and lifeguards are present during beach hours (usually 10 AM-6 PM from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day). There's also a playground on site, and trails to explore with kids of all ages. If you're looking to host a family get together or party, the park has six tents/pavilions available for reservation.

In the winter, help your littles burn some energy by bringing them to the park for some ice skating, snowshoeing, or winter trail walks.

Beat the Winter Blues

The park offers a variety of fun winter activities for those looking to get outside during the colder months. Whether you want to cross-country ski or snowshoe on the trails, pull out the sled and do a bit of snowmobiling, or skate or fish on the ponds, there are plenty of options to get the blood flowing and beat those winter blues.
