Buck Showalter has reportedly been crying himself to sleep on his huge pillow because the Yankees may end up saving $30,000,000 a year in payroll if Alex Rodriguez is suspended. What we have here is a classic case of someone not being able to let go of the past and a sad ending and move on to the present.
Buck Showalter was fired by the Yankees due to performance issues. As a Yankee fan, I saw why this happened; Buck caved under pressure, making poor decisions with the pitching staff and losing three straight games to the Mariners in 1995. He went on to manage other teams successfully, but was fired twice more due to performance.
Now, finally when it seems he has found his niche in Baltimore, he is complaining about his life cut short as a Yankee manager indirectly by crying about how unfair it is the Yankees are saving money.
Lesson learned, job seekers: let go of the past. No employer wants to hear about a former company and their woes, just like no guy or gal wants to hear about your ex.
Get over it, or you may end up losing your current job because of your best.
