Five Guys Coming To Stuyvesant Plaza Area

Five Guys Famous Burgers And Fries

Many Capital Region residents have found that the nearest Five Guys is just a tad too far to drive, but let's face it, people will do anything for a great burger. Now it will be a much faster and more convenient drive to sink your teeth into one of those award-winning, peanut-oil sizzling beef patties with all the free toppings you can name piled on top -- not to mention the heaping cup of fries on the side.

Remember the old Denny's across from Stuyvesant Plaza on Western Ave in Guilderland? A new Five Guys restaurant is set to open at that location in Spring 2010. Wives, don't tell your husbands. (They'll go crazy.)

The new location at 1512 Western Avenue came with a price tag of $635,000, dished out by local Five Guys operators Savita and TJ Hada. The new Guilderland Five Guys will be one of 200 new locations opening in 2010.

So next time you're out shopping at Crossgates or Stuyvesant Plaza and your stomach is growling, there will be a new way to satisfy your hunger. Some find it pricey for a burger joint, but others find it irresistible. Five Guys has won their share of recognition, though, judging by the memorabilia posted all over their walls boasting their "best burgers" as dubbed by a plethora of polls and critics.

There are already Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries locations in Glenmont, Niskayuna, East Greenbush, Clifton Park, Wilton and Queensbury. Their new location in Guilderland across from Stuyvesant Plaza will fill a significant gap in their coverage of the Capital Region. Who knows where Five Guys will pop up next? Maybe right in your back yard!
