Over the Edge is a unique opportunity for individuals to rappel off the Crowne Plaza in Downtown Albany, NY while raising much needed funds for the athletes of Special Olympics New York!
Last year this event brought in more than $70,000 for Special Olympics and provided unprecedented media exposure in every local outlet. Hundreds of spectators attended and watched as participants made their way down.
Whether you just want to watch or you are brave enough to go "Over the Edge," this is an event you will not want to miss!

There is no charge to come spectate as thrill-seekers go "Over The Edge" off the side of the Crowne Plaza and rappel down at their own pace (that is, if they don't chicken out!)

The Army National Guard will be accepting donations for individuals to scale their rock wall!

Keeler Motor Car Co. will have a vehicle on site that day for all to check out!
Over the Edge Raffle – Tickets can be purchased for a chance to win great prizes, including:
T-shirts and merchandise available for purchase all day for just $10 each!
Albany All Stars Roller Derby gals will be on site all day hyping up the crowd.

Do you love heights? Do you love a thrill? Get in on the action! Anyone who has the guts and can raise a minimum of $1,000 is eligible.
If you think you can handle going "Over The Edge" by rappelling off the side of the Crowne Plaza in Albany, just sign up to raise a minimum of $1,000 to help the Special Olympics. But hurry because time is running out! All donations can be made through the Over the Edge on-line giving site. Contact Michelle Iorizzo at (518) 388-0790 x109 for additional details.
If you ask for donations from family, friends, co-workers and local business owners, you'll reach the $1,000 limit in no time! They'll be helping out a good cause AND giving you the chance at the adventure of a lifetime!

VIP Party
All participants are invited to the party immediately after their descent where they will recieve a "Over the Edge" inspired metal and their pick of signature food and drink choices. Friends and family who were too scared to go "Over the Edge" are also invited to join them. Food and drink off the same menu will be available at a discounted price.

All proceeds from Over The Edge, including the donations, T-shirt sales and VIP reception, will go to help the Special Olympics New York. This organization holds competitions for 55,698 athletes across the state, offered at NO COST to the athletes or their caregivers. The Special Olympics requires year-round fundraising efforts to continue to offer these services.
