2026 Alive at Five Summer Concert Series: R&B Night

Albany’s signature free concert series, a staple of the Capital Region since it premiered in 1990 with legendary folk artist Richie Havens, is evolving for the 2026 season. This year, the City of Albany has reimagined the series to be more accessible and community-focused by moving the stage to different neighborhoods throughout June and July. Attendees can expect the same high-energy atmosphere they’ve loved for decades, featuring critically acclaimed national acts, the region’s most talented local artists, and a curated selection of food and retail vendors.

The 2026 lineup is intentionally eclectic, celebrating cultural milestones like Pride and Juneteenth while introducing genres like Afrobeats to the series’ historic repertoire. Each Thursday, music kicks off at 5:00 pm (with vendors and parking available at 4:30 pm) and concludes at 8:00 pm. Whether you’re a lifelong resident or a first-time visitor, Alive at Five offers a premier outdoor experience that highlights the unique character and diversity of Albany’s vibrant communities.
