About this event

As summer begins to wind down, the community is invited to enjoy another afternoon outdoors at Goodbye Summer: Polish Style, taking place from noon to 5 pm on Saturday, September 12 at Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 250 Old Maxwell Road, Latham.

This casual, family-friendly event features hot, ready-to-enjoy Polish food, along with local craft vendors and a welcoming atmosphere for all ages.

Guests can stay and dine outside under a tent, choosing from a menu of traditional favorites including Polish platters, pierogi, kielbasa, and signature sandwiches. Beer, wine, and soft drinks will also be available. Attendees are encouraged to bring family and friends, relax, and enjoy the afternoon at their own pace.

In addition to dining at the event, guests can also stock up on frozen Polish specialties to enjoy at home. A full selection of handmade items—including pierogi, kielbasa, and gołąbki—will be available for purchase, or pre-order to ensure their favorites are in stock.

Those who pre-order frozen items by September 10 will automatically be entered into the event’s Lucky Cart Contest, where ten winners will be selected to receive their entire pre-order free.

Guests can also enter to win two round-trip tickets for a NYC shopping trip this fall, with a choice of six dates. The tickets have been generously donated by Brown Coach.

The event will also recognize and welcome local first responders.

“Goodbye Summer: Polish Style is all about bringing people together,” organizers said. “Whether you come to enjoy a hot meal, pick up favorites for home, or simply spend time with friends, we hope it feels like a celebration of community.”
