Join us at Grafton Lakes' 32nd Annual Winter Fest! Bring your family out to this FREE festival to enjoy food, games, exhibitors, and fun in the snow. Remember that snow or no snow, it's a go! Activities will include horse drawn carriage rides, Polar Plunge, kid games indoors and outdoors, crafts, live animal presenters including birds of prey and reptiles, snowshoeing and so much more!

Full Schedule:

Starting at 10:00am:

  • Fat Bike Ride on the trails (BYOB) - ends at 11:30am
  • Dog Walk around Shaver Pond - meet at LL Bean Tent (ends at 11:00am)

All Day (11:00am-3:00PM):

  • Winter Fest Exhibits open at Maintenance Shop & Beach Nature Center
  • Live Birds of Prey with Whispering Willow Wild Care in Bay 1 of Shop (ends at 3:00pm)
  • LL Bean Bootmobile games and giveaways by Beach area (ends at 4:00pm)
  • Various kids' crafts - Shop Exhibit Area (ongoing to 3:00pm)
  • Outings All Day Long - Easy to Advanced hikes from LL Bean Booth by beach (snowshoes available for demo)
  • Free snowmobile rides from Grafton Trail Blazers (ends at 3:00pm)
  • Snowshoe obstacle course by beach (ends at 3:00pm)

Starting at 11:00am:

  • Guided XC Ski Outing - with Taconic Hiking Club. Hike if low snow (ends at 1:00pm)
  • Fly Tying with Trout Unlimited in Bay 2 of Shop (ends at 3:00pm)
  • Animal Tracking outing with Tamakoce Wilderness leaving from LL Bean Tent (ends at 12:00pm)
  • Face Painting - Shop (ends at 2:00pm)
  • Reptiles from Uncharted Wild - Beach Nature Center (11:30am-2:30pm)
  • Parks K9 Unit Demo with Officer Kyle Herrick and Koda by beach (11:30am-11:45am)

Starting at 12:00pm:

  • Horse Drawn Carriages Rides - Starts from beach side of parking lot (ends at 3:00pm)
  • Ice Rescue Demonstration - southern side of beach area (ends at 12:30pm)
  • Snowshoe Races with prizes for kids - beach (ends at 12:30pm)
  • Search & Rescue Demonstration with The Rescue Dogs! - Meets by Main Lot - Search & Rescue RV Tours (ends at 1:00pm)
  • Balloon Gal Jenny - Balloon Creatures at Bay 2 of Shop (ends at 3:00pm)
  • Northland Newfoundland Club Dog Sled Rides - center beach area (ends at 2:00pm)

Starting at 12:30pm:

  • State Troopers Ice Dive - southern side of beach area (ends at 1:00pm)
  • Snow Sculpture Contest Registration at Concession until 1:30pm, and construction begins on the beach (Judging at 2:00pm; Prizes at 2:30pm)

Starting at 1:00pm:

  • Polar Plunge into Long Pond (pre-registered participants only). Spectators welcome! (ends at 1:15pm)

Starting at 1:30pm:

  • Kids' Snow Ball Throwing Contest with Prizes - beach area (ends at 2:00pm)
  • Guided Snowshoe Outing - with Taconic Hiking Club. Rent from LL Bean tent. Hike if no snow (ends at 3:00pm)

Starting at 2:00pm:

  • Parks K9 Unit Demo with Officer Kyle Herrick and Koda by beach (ends at 2:15pm)
  • Nature Hike for Families with Dyken Pond, leaving from LL Bean Tent
  • Snow Sculpture Judging begins on the beach
