The New York State International Film Festival returns to Albany for its 11th Annual Festival on October 2–3, 2026, at Steamer 10 Theatre.
Founded in 2016, NYSIFF celebrates the creativity, diversity, and talent of independent filmmakers from Albany and beyond. This year's festival will showcase 28 short independent films from local, national, and international filmmakers.
Audiences will experience a diverse selection of stories and filmmaking styles, including drama, comedy, horror, animation, documentary, and experimental films. Each film offers a unique perspective and an opportunity to discover emerging and established independent filmmakers.
In addition to the film screenings, the festival will feature Q&A panels, giving audiences an opportunity to hear directly from filmmakers about their creative process, stories, and experiences. The festival will also conclude with an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding films and filmmakers.
NYSIFF is proud to support independent cinema and provide filmmakers with an opportunity to share their work with an Albany audience on the big screen.
