About this event
The Catskills Preventive Search and Rescue Committee, a committee of the Catskill 3500 Club, invites hikers, outdoor leaders, volunteers, and community members to a two-day Wilderness First Aid course on November 7 and 8, 2026.
Participants will receive three certifications: Wilderness First Aid (WFA), CPR, and EpiPen administration.
The course provides practical training for responding to injuries and medical emergencies in outdoor, mountain, backcountry, and remote settings. Topics include patient assessment, injury management, common backcountry medical problems, environmental emergencies, evacuation decisions, and emergency response.
This course also serves as a fundraiser for the Catskills Preventive Search and Rescue Committee, supporting its work to help prevent hiking emergencies throughout the Catskills.
Advance registration is required, and space is limited.
Event times and information subject to change and not guaranteed.
