About this event

Slam City Audiovisual Enterprises presents an immersive night of heavy, dark electronic and dance music accompanied by psychedelic live visuals, taking place in one of Troy’s sacred spaces. Featuring four DJs and a live hardware noise performance, the evening moves through techno, jungle, gabber, industrial, digital hardcore, technoise, and other boundary-pushing sounds, with visuals projected onto a CRT television on stage to create a distinctly raw audiovisual experience. The lineup brings together a diverse group of artists from Troy, the Capital Region, Upstate New York, and New York City, including multidisciplinary electronic artist DJ Riddick, whose techno sets and plunderphonic technoise performances are paired with hypnotic visual synthesis; DJ Dentalwork, a queer Troy-based artist and self-described practitioner of “genremancy” who moves freely across styles; XXLEONX, an Upstate New York digital hardcore and gabber project drawing influence from the Digital HxC and noise scenes; v64, a Brooklyn-based musician and DJ recognized for eclectic selections and dance-floor-focused sets rooted in New York’s underground club and rave communities; and Julian Power, a Troy-based multimedia artist whose playful performances merge sight, sound, experimentation, and experience. Together, the artists create an evening that embraces the darker, stranger, and more kinetic edges of electronic music while inviting audiences to dance, explore, and experience sound and visuals in an unconventional setting.
