Kick off your fall racing season at the Run 4 The River Half Marathon on Saturday, September 5, 2026, in Schenectady County, NY.
This fast, net downhill point-to-point race follows the Empire State Trail from Rotterdam to Schenectady, starting at Mabee Farm and finishing at Frog Alley Brewing. Runners can look forward to a scenic course, an 8:00 AM start, and a post-race celebration with live music.
The race is produced in partnership by Nark Running Strategies, ARE Event Productions, and Schenectady County.
Parking will be available at both the start and finish. Runners are encouraged to carpool or coordinate transportation with another participant. An optional shuttle bus will also be available from the finish area to the start line for $10 per person. Shuttle service will run from 6:45 AM to 7:20 AM.
Gear check will be available at the start line. Participants will receive a gear check bag large enough for shoes, a change of clothes, and other small items. Bags will be transported to the finish line.
Packet pick-up will take place at Nark Running & Strength in Albany on Thursday, August 28, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, and Friday, August 29, from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Race-day packet pick-up will be available at the start line from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM.
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, with cash prizes of $300, $200, and $100. Age group awards will also be given to the top three male and female runners in the 19-and-under division and 10-year age groups through 70+.
Elite athletes may qualify for complimentary entry if they have met the listed time standards since January 1, 2020.
Registration fees increase as race day approaches, starting at $50 through January 1 and rising to $95 from July 16 through race day. Optional registration insurance is available for $12 and provides a no-questions-asked refund of the registration fee, excluding the insurance and processing fees, if requested by the stated deadline.
