Runners can mark their calendars for the 2026 Upstate Classic, returning to the Altamont Fairgrounds on Sunday, November 15. Registration opens Friday, June 12, at 5:00 PM.
Produced by ARE Event Productions, the race includes a half marathon, 5K, and kids races for ages 12 and under. The event starts from the spacious Altamont Fairgrounds, just outside Albany, and follows a scenic course near the base of the Helderberg Escarpment.
Race morning begins with kids races at 8:30 AM, followed by the 13.1-mile start at 9:00 AM and the 5K at 9:10 AM. Packet pickup will be available Friday, November 13, at the AREEP Office in Albany and on race morning at the fairgrounds.
Participants can look forward to free race photos, a post-race meal, half marathon finisher medals, and optional commemorative gear. Those who register by October 22 can also have their name printed on their bib.
Registration remains open through 8:30 AM on race morning, with day-of registration available. Entry fees vary by race and registration date, and ARE members save $5.
