Niskayuna New York - A Residential Capital Region Community North Of Albany

Nestled in the northeast corner of Schenectady County, Niskayuna is a vibrant residential community just 15 miles north of the State Capital at Albany. It is conveniently located close to both I90 and I87. It is just nine miles from Albany International Airport and four miles from the nearest Amtrak station in Schenectady. Union College is just two miles, and there are a half dozen other colleges within an eighteen mile radius.

The Niskayuna School District consistently provides excellent results for its population scholastically. The students who attend Niskayuna schools rank among the highest in the region and the state on New York State exams. The district actively pursues a wide variety of academic, art and sports programs that encourage and assist students in reaching their highest potential.

Niskayuna is also a bustling area economically, having experienced a rapid rate of growth in recent years. It currently enjoys the highest average family income in the Capital District. Niskayuna is home to several corporate offices, including General Electric Corporate Research and Development, the Lockheed-Martin Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory and the Schenectady International research lab. Its Town of Niskayuna tax rate is among the lowest in Schenectady County as well as within the Capital District.

There are several excellent public and private courses within just a few minutes drive with excellent facilities, superb dining and spectacular scenery.
