The wait is over, folks! Beer Belly has finally opened its doors in Albany, after a much anticipated wait! The bar and retail shop opened on November 13, 2014 at 281 New Scotland Ave and is sure to be a stop on your list of great bars in the Capital Region!
With everything from draft beers to wine on tap to cheese plates and seafood, there is truly something for everyone. Their full menu features a wide variety of entrees, including boards with arrays of cheese, charcuterie, seafood and chocolate. However, you can still find your classic pub foods like salads and sausages to accompany the 24 taps and 75 bottled offerings. Customers can enjoy draft beer along with four wines on tap and beer and wine cocktails. (Beer Belly does not serve spirits).
Plus, the interior design of the newly opened bar is one of great character. With rustic lighting, textured concrete floors, soapstone and reclaimed wood, Beer Belly is truly a unique spot. Interior designer Deborah Bohl added some eccentric touches that really bring the location together as a whole. Fruit boxes functioning as decor, reclaimed windows set in the walls, along with mattress box springs and bike wheels functioning as chandeliers are just some of the unique touches of Beer Belly.
Patrons should be even more excited as Beer Belly will have a retail section to try different beers and cheese, along with the ability to purchase to-go bottled beers and snacks! The bar also offers tables and banquette seating for larger parties.
Beer Belly, a partnership of BM&T Management, will be open Monday through Saturday at 11am and Sundays at 12pm. Beer Belly is proud to be a part of BM&T Management’s resume of Albany establishments which include The Point, Cafe Madison, Junior’s, The Spinners Pizza, and Madison Pour House.
