Love to sing? Release your inner Diva! Audition to become a member of the Capitaland Chorus and join a group of dynamic and talented women from the Capital District who perform throughout the year for community events, fundraising, and competitions!

Singers Wanted!

Capitaland Chorus is an all-woman's barbershop chorus with over 60 members of all ages and backgrounds. Performing as a group or in smaller ensembles and quartets, our group is dedicated to bringing the art of four-part a capella singing to a new level in the Capital region.

Each spring, Capitaland Chorus competes with more than two dozen chorus groups from Western and UPstate NY and Ontario, Canada! International-level coaches and faculty provide training in vocal production, choreography, and showmanship. Capitaland Chorus has placed in the top five of this regional competition for the past several years, earning several first-place medals.

We promote our craft during the year:

• performing for various community events
• assisting charitable groups with fundraising
• performing in our Annual Show
• spreading Holiday Cheer with Valograms and Harmony-grams

The Chorus has also welcomed holiday travelers to the airport during the holiday season, and performed at compay parties throughout the year.

If you love to sing, are enthusiastic and think you have what it takes to be part of something special and unique, stop in and visit us during rehearsals! We rehearse every Thursday evening from 7:00 to 10:00 pm at the following location:
