Created for youth entering grades 6-10, our Summer Academy provides students unique and fun learning experiences that are flexible and convenient.  Class topics include:  Performing Arts, Business & Government, Art & Design, Writing, Sports, Science & Technology, and our Broadway Bootcamp.

Week 1 (July 5-7): Screenplay Writing, Mock Trial, Stop Motion Animation, Computer Animation, Improvisation Acting, Fire Science, Fashion Psychology.

Week 2 (July 10-14): Jewelry Design, Poetry Writing, Personal Training, Alexander Hamilton History, Aerospace Engineering, Veterinary Science, 3D Modeling, Historical Fiction Writing, Athletic Coaching, Greek Mythology, Theatrical Make-up Design, Automotive Engineering, Roller Coaster Engineering

Week 3 (July 17-21): Character Creation, Personal Narrative Writing, Sports Team Management, Espionage History, Forensics, Paranormal Studies, Graphic Design, Science Fiction Writing, Sports Broadcasting, Game Theory & Mathematics, History of Rock Music, Medical Technology, App Design

Week 4 (July 24-28): Fashion Illustration, Manga Drawing, Small Business Management, Albany Murder & Mystery, Song Writing, Geochemistry, Drawn & Quartered, Interior Design, Graphic Novel Writing, Conspiracy Theories, Pop Singing Workshop, Paleontology, Music Recording & Engineering, Video Game Design, Digital Video Production        

Week 5 (July 31 - August 4): Digital Photography, Art History & Criticism, Fan Fiction Writing, Business Law & Ethics, Acting Techniques, Aquatic Ecology, Sculpture, Screen Printing, Crime & Mystery Writing, Stage Combat, Acting with Accents & Dialects, Environmental Technology, Coding with Minecraft, Digital Video Production      

Broadway Bootcamp (July 10-28): Broadway performers rely on a variety of skills to propel them to stardom, and this class, taught by New York City theater professionals, will build these valuable skills in group activity and one-on-one instruction. The focus of the two-week intensive is on developing a well-rounded, multi-faceted, Broadway-caliber performer.
